We transformed a neglected townhouse’s rear garden into a lively space for entertaining, dining, and relaxing. Raw steel edging and pea gravel subdivides the different spaces, and a simple cedar pergola over the raised entertainment area provides both privacy and a staging area for lighting and shade vines. Reclaimed wood serves as a backdrop for the garden, reducing costs for the client and giving the garden its unique mark.
This project was published in Living Etc. in the summer of 2013, and was a finalist for the 2014Gardenista Considered Award in the Best Outdoor Space category.
